Welcome to Cafe Nouveau

Born from a love of nutritious, great quality food and a love for people, Cafe Nouveau opened it doors on 1st February 2015.

Its boutique feel and stunning views over a 34-acre country park with children’s play area, woodland walks and lakes, makes Cafe Nouveau a perfect place to soak it all up and leave the fast pace of life behind for a while.

Providing homemade, locally sourced food where possible, Cafe Nouveau creates a menu that everyone can enjoy, ranging from our popular local brunch burger alongside our daily specials and freshly prepared salads.  Food intolerances are well catered for on our menu and we offer a wide range of plant based milks along with our artisan teas, local hand roasted coffee and we have a great selection of chilled drinks.  The dairy milk we use in our hot drinks is non homogenised, produced from our local farm just down the road, which means we can make the best hot chocolate in town!

Walkers, ramblers, dogs on leads and cyclists welcome.  For larger groups, please call ahead so we can book you a table.  There is parking in the courtyard or at the end of the drive and a walled garden for cyclists to lean their bikes.

About Susan

Although Cafe Nouveau opened its doors in 2015, it was an idea that was seeded 13 years earlier. At that time I was a marketing project manager, and a keen home cook with a focus on nutritious food and a healthy lifestyle.

After my eldest son was born I discovered he had a number of food allergies, dairy and gluten being the main ones, and so, always up for a challenge it was at this point where my passion for cooking was ignited.

Creating wholesome food using good quality ingredients became a way of life and I discovered cooking can be simple and yet still have all the taste that we can all enjoy.Being creative with ingredients keeps things light and playful it's a great way to bring fun into the kitchen. I have always felt very much at home being in the kitchen. I never get bored of being in the kitchen, it is one of my favourite places to relax after a busy day in the cafe.
